A fire alarm at the Senior Citizens Center brought Haleyville firemen  to the scene rapidly. The seniors quickly evacuated the center and  waited patiently for the firemen. A check by Fire Chief Phillip Weaver  confirmed it was a

false alarm. Head Start, upstairs from the Senior  Citizens Center, was having a practice drlll but the seniors did not  know. It became a drill for them also.
